The 19th edition of the India-Africa Business Conclave of the Confederation of the Indian Industry has ended in the Indian capital of New Delhi.
Addressing the valedictory session of the three-day Conclave, the Vice President of The Gambia His Excellency Mohammed B.S Jallow conveyed The Gambia’s satisfaction and delight for being part of the event and witness the incredible discussions and collaborations made over the period.
The partnerships shaped, he said, will lead to progress and prosperity for all involved. “The goal is to create robust development plans that will benefit sectors including renewable energy, agriculture, mining, space technology, transportation, logistics, and healthcare, among others. The Gambia is open to doing business with India and through collaborative efforts, we can drive growth across every sector,” VP Jallow asserted
He urged participants to carry forward the spirit of collaboration and determination to drive positive change in their various communities and beyond.
He concluded by thanking the Confederation of Indian Industry for hosting this insightful event, and encouraged them to continue the good work towards a brighter tomorrow.

Jallow, Vice-President, Republic of The Gambia; Dammu Ravi, Secretary- Economic Relations, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India; Sunil Barthwal, Commerce Secretary, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India; Kuppuswamy, Co-Chairman, CII Africa Committee and Group Adviser, Shapoorji Pallonji Group
The session was moderated by Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General, Confederation of Indian Industry.
An MOU was also exchanged between CII and Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC).
This marks a significant milestone in strengthening trade and investment ties and fostering closer cooperation in Commonwealth countries, particularly in Africa.
