His Excellency Umaro Cissoko Emballó, President of the Republic of Guinea Bissau, last week made a brief transit at Banjul International Airport. During his stopover, he engaged in private discussions with Gambian Vice President His Excellency Mohammed B.S. Jallow, focusing on technical issues and development cooperation.
President Emballó was returning from the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, where he attended the inauguration ceremony of His Excellency Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, who was re-elected as President of Mauritania in June this year.
This visit is seen as a significant bilateral effort to strengthen the mutual relations between Bissau and Banjul, fostering enhanced cooperation and development.
