Haddy Gassama and Gass Sabally both expressed gratitude to Minister Sonko for his support to them when they were junior police officers, affirming that without his support they would have left the police service.

Giving a brief background on the Network, the PRO stated that it was formed in 2017, but officially launched on 23rd November 2019 by the former Vice President Her Excellency Dr. Isatou Touray.

The chairperson, Camara, affirmed that the main objective of the network is to create opportunities for female officers by supporting them in different capacities for them to be able to bridge the gender-inequality gap in the work force.

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Permanent Secretary, Admin & Finance, Abraham Mendy, who thanked the visiting members of the network for their foresight.
