GAF Celebrates 2 Graduates of World’s Best Military Academies in UK

The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) is celebrating Officer Cadets Ebrima Gaye and Momodou B. Jallow after a successful completion of their officer training at two of the world’s best military academies in the United Kingdom.

Officer Cadet Ebrima Gaye passed out of the renowned Royal Military Academy Sandhurst on Friday, 16 December 2022. He emerged as the best international officer cadet and was awarded with an International Award, and also International Sword.

The award is given to the international officer cadet who emerges top amongst the international cadets of his class. Officer Cadet Gaye also acquired a recommendation to return to Sandhurst as an instructor someday.

In a similar but separate engagement, officer cadet Momodou B. Jallow also passed out of the prestigious Britannia Royal Naval College Dartmouth on Thursday, 15 December 2022. He emerged with a strong report and top of his intake in physical and research discipline.

With dedication, determination and hard work, these young officers earned themselves a distinction in their respective fields of training. During the cause of their study at these two renowned British military institutions, they thrived on tough courses which were both physically and mentally challenging coupled with the rigorous nature of military training.

On behalf of the entire GAF, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Lieutenant General Yakuba A.Drammeh extends felicitations to the two young officers for their hard-earned success and well-deserved achievements.
