Banjul, 16 October 2025: Dr Omar Jagne, a Gambian medical health expert and CEO of Africmed International Hospital Gambia, has been awarded Digital Health Provider of the Year 2025.
Prior to this latest award, Dr Jagne was recently crowned with an award as Medtech CEO of the Year 2025 in Accra, Ghana. This could be described as unprecedented achievements not only for Dr Jagne and Africmed International Hospital but also for The Gambia, a whole.
Dr Jagne, a highly respected medical expert both nationally and internationally, is credited and honoured with such awards for his outstanding service, industry experience, outstanding leadership, innovation and efforts in the technology sector. He received the award during the celebration of ADEA’s 10th edition held at EMARA OLE SEREN in Nairobi, Kenya, by Africa Digital Economy Awards (ADEA), an initiative of Digital Economy Magazine.
