The International Conference of Islamic Sects reviews practical initiatives to bring visions closer together among the followers of the sects

Makkah Al-Mukarramah (UNA/SPA) - Participants in the international conference held under the title “Building Bridges Between Islamic Sects,” organized by the Muslim World League in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, stressed the importance of consolidating ties between the people of the Islamic nation and nullifying calls for division, sowing discord, and distorting the image of Islam. And Muslims.
The Secretary General of the Association of Islamic Universities, Dr. Sami Al-Sharif, explained that the conference comes at an important time, noting that the conference topic was chosen because the Islamic world is going through serious challenges as a result of the distortion of the image of Islam and Muslims.
He stressed that this image requires establishing bridges with the West and with the other to correct the image of Muslims, highlighting the efforts undertaken by the Muslim World League represented in undertaking many initiatives to establish bridges of cooperation and understanding between the East and the West. He said: “From here comes the importance of this conference because it brings together sects.” Different Islamic principles, to find out how to return to the truth and how to establish real bridges to present the correct image of Islam. Secretary General of the Central Ahl al-Hadith Society in Pakistan and member of the Pakistani Senate, Dr. Abdul Karim Bakhsh, stressed that the conference came at an important time, and that the Islamic nation is in dire need of unity in the Islamic ranks, expressing his thanks to the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for holding this conference next to the Holy House of God, which He discussed several reasons for the existing differences between Islamic sects, and put forward a number of suggestions for resolving those differences, highlighting at the same time the urgent need to unify the Islamic ranks at the present time.
For his part, the Secretary General of the House of Knowledge of Imam Al-Khoei in Najaf, Jawad Al-Khoei, stated that this occasion is consistent with the honor of time in the holy month of Ramadan, and the sanctity of the place in Mecca, which is a very important factor for uniting hearts and uniting Muslims. He said, “We are, thanks to God Almighty, the foundations of our religion.” One, and we all share monotheism, prophethood, and the two testimonies.”
He praised the pioneering role played by the Muslim World League in the past and present and its constant endeavor to bring together Muslim scholars and reunite them, especially at the present difficult time, in which Muslims must appear before the world and demonstrate their strength, unity and cohesion in order to be the best nation ever created for the people.
In turn, a member of the Council of Muslim Elders, Ali Muhammad Al-Amin, pointed out that these circumstances came in order to further unite the word of the nation and solidarity among themselves to confront the conspiracies that work to spread division among the people of one nation, and therefore this conference was for this noble and honorable goal, which is a goal that means Creating further consolidation of ties between the people of one nation, nullifying calls for division and sowing strife among the people of one nation, and solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza, for which a special session was devoted to solidarity with the people of Gaza.
The international conference also reviewed “Building Bridges Between Islamic Sects” through its sessions entitled “Practical Initiatives to Bring Views Closer to Followers of Sects,” which was organized by the Muslim World League yesterday, where the session was chaired by the President of Alexandria University in the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Abdulaziz Qansuh.
The President of Pattani University in Thailand, Dr. Ismail Lutfi Javakia, explained that the difference between the nation’s scholars has existed since the days of the Companions and the Salaf and is part of human nature. He called for the importance of not separating the sectarian scientific movement from the educational advocacy movement, and for organizing the field of fatwa to preserve societal unity.
Dr. Javakia pointed out that all sects can welcome Islamic law and its provisions because common sense is compatible with methodology and moderation, stresses the importance of the nation’s unity, and opens the doors of cooperation and mercy, highlighting what distinguishes the land of the Two Holy Mosques in terms of moderation in place and approach by uniting the ranks of the Islamic nation, including this conference and its outcomes of charters and recommendations. .
The Secretary-General of the Islamic Summit in Lebanon, the Secretary-General of the National Islamic-Christian Dialogue Committee, and the Secretary-General of the Arab Team for Islamic-Christian Dialogue in Lebanon, Dr. Muhammad bin Nimr Al-Sammak, noted the practical measures taken by the Muslim World League to bring together the unity of Muslims with the aim of creating an accommodating culture that respects pluralism and diversity in society. Meanwhile, His Excellency the Assistant Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for Economic Affairs in Uganda, Dr. Ahmed Kawesa Ssengendu, stressed that solidarity among Muslims is the best way to progress and prosperity and to move on the path to success that does not accept fragmentation, especially in the era of major challenges that affect everyone without distinction between sects, pointing out Until history has proven that the Islamic nation is capable of building bridges of cooperation with various religions, cultures and civilizations, let alone the sects themselves.
On the other hand, the Executive President of the Supreme Council of Philippine Scholars for Peace and Development, Dr. Abdul Hannan Magarang Tagoo, affirmed in his speech that Islam is a religion of just peace, and respects mankind as a creation of God Almighty, and that God’s wisdom in creating human beings, with different colors and languages, reflects divine creativity. This diversity enriches life on Earth, as each individual has unique skills that he can use to build society and serve humanity, indicating that diversity in talents and skills leads to complementing each other and achieving prosperity and progress for humanity in general.
He stressed the necessity of respecting human diversity, working to promote a culture of respect and tolerance among people, using skills to build a society where justice and peace prevail, and recognizing that every human being has invaluable value that will contribute to creating a more humane and solidarity-based world, noting that institutions and organizations in Islamic countries A vital role it can play in bringing together Muslim scholars and enabling them to participate and attend international forums and conferences.
