New Cabinet Appointees Sworn-in

His Excellency President Adama Barrow, on Thursday, 21st March 2024, acting on the powers vested on him in section 172 of the 1997 Constitution of the Republic of The Gambia officiated the swearing-in of the newly appointed cabinet ministers and two members of Public Service Commission (PSC), tasking them to deliver up to expectation for the development of the country. The swearing-in ceremony was held at State House in Banjul.
The newly appointed ministers sworn-in are Ministers of Interior, Hon. Abdoulie Sanyang; Basic and Secondary Education, Hon. Haddy Jatou Sey; Petroleum and Energy, Hon. Nani Juwara; and Information, Hon. Dr. Ismaila Ceesay.
Meanwhile, the ceremony also witnessed the swearing-in of the redeployed ministers of Tourism and Culture, Hon. Abdoulie Jobe, who was Minister of Petroleum and Energy; Lands, Regional Governance, and Religious Affairs, Hon. Hamat N.K Bah, who was Minister of Tourism and Culture. Two other newly appointed members of the Public Service Commission were also sworn-in.
Honorable Hamat NK. Bah, New Minister of Lands, Regional Government and Religious Affairs spoke on behalf of the newly sworn-in members.
He recognized that the move is guided by the pursuit and desire to serve The Gambian people at all times. This is the fourth time I have been sworn in and witnessing you change ministers and other officials in your quest to deliver maximum services to The Gambian people,” he reminded the President. 
He went on: “To the newly sworn-in ministers and my cabinet colleagues, it cannot be the usual way of getting things done. The President is always determined and he will not hesitate to take decision when it is necessary. Gambians are expecting nothing less than delivering what the President was elected for in his agenda.”
Minister Bah thanked the President for having confidence in them to perform the duties and responsibilities to the work.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by the Vice President Mohammed B.S Jallow, other ministers and senior government officials, and family members.
