In a staff meeting convened by the Minister of Transport, Works and Infrastructure, Ebrima Sillah, the newly deployed Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport, Works and Infrastructure, Louis Moses Mendy called on the staff to unite and work as a team.

Mr Mendy was part of senior government officials, mainly permanent secretaries who have been recently redeployed to various ministries. On Thursday, February 2nd staff meeting at MoTWI was his first official interaction and engagement with the senior management of his new ministry. He was Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.

He assured the meeting of his readiness to work with the staff of the Ministry in order to achieve their common goals and objectives.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Sillah also called on his staff to work as a team in whatever they are doing for the benefit of the Ministry and the country at large. “We need to work hard and prove to ourselves that we have the capacity to deliver. Teamwork is the best. Let’s share and be each other’s keepers,” he admonished.

He described the meeting as crucial, adding that such meetings are avenues for the senior management team to hear from the staff on some of their constraints and how they could be addressed.

He further thanked the staff for the good work they are doing and assured them of his support at all times. “This Ministry is an important one due to the nature of the work we do. So we need to tighten our belts to do our best for the public,” he stressed.

Other speakers at the meeting were Essa Drammeh, Haddy Jobe, and Pa Samura, who one after the other praised the senior management team for organising such a meeting, and suggested that it should be held regularly.
