Planners Trained on Risk Management

The Directorate of Development Planning under the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, in Collaboration with the United Nations Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP) on Friday, December 2nd concluded a five-day training on risk management at the Sindola Safari Lodge. This is one of the series of tailor-made training conducted for the development planning cadre geared towards building the capacity of development planners to enhance service delivery.

 

As the government is currently preparing the Green Recovery-Focused National Development Plan (2023-2027), this training is very timely and will enhance knowledge and skills in risk management.

 

The overall aim of the training is to equip participants with requisite knowledge and skills in risk management which can be integrated into sectoral and National Development Plans to help mitigate potential risks.

Participants are expected to be exposed to Toolkit - Risk and Vulnerability Index and Analysis of the health, economic and social effects of COVID-19 among others.

The training gathered 25 participants drawn from various ministries, departments, and agencies.
