The forum brought together heads of departments of various institutions to share insights, gather feedback, and initiate discussions on the next steps and actions for FNG process.
The Fill the Nutrient Gap Analysis initiative was inaugurated in September 2024 by the Government of The Gambia with technical and financial support from the United Nations World Food Programme.
The FNG is a government-led process that integrates a comprehensive framework to identify households and individuals’ main obstacles in accessing quality nutritious foods. It combines an analytical framework and stakeholder engagements to build consensus and advance decision-making to improve the quality of people’s diets.
