RIYADH (UNA/SPA) – Under the patronage of Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, the SDAIA is organizing the Global AI Summit in its third edition during the period from September 10 to 12, 2024 at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh.
SDAIA President, Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Alghamdi, expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to the Crown Prince for his kind patronage to support the work of the Global AI Summit in its third edition, stressing that this comes within the framework of his permanent and continuous support for SDAIA to carry out its main tasks in leading the national file for data and artificial intelligence and making optimal use of these advanced technologies in a way that enhances the Kingdom's international position in this field and achieves leadership for it.
"This summit follows the great successes achieved by the first and second editions during 2020 and 2022 under the patronage of the Crown Prince, and the summit is distinguished in its third edition in the breadth of its themes that cover aspects of international interest in data and artificial intelligence in light of the rapid development of its technologies and their overall impact at the individual and institutional levels,” Alghamdi said.
The summit in its third edition is scheduled to discuss a number of topics, most notably: innovation and industry in the field of artificial intelligence, turning points to shape a better future for artificial intelligence, with the importance of developing a stimulating environment for human energies in this field, and its themes focus on: artificial intelligence at the local and global levels, the complementary relationship between human and artificial intelligence, business leaders in artificial intelligence, the relationship between data and applications, generative artificial intelligence, artificial intelligence ethics, processors and infrastructures by AI, and AI and smart cities.
Alghamdi called on senior specialists in artificial intelligence technologies, policy makers and systems influential in building these technologies from different countries of the world to participate in this summit to present ideas and visions that contribute to developing the general frameworks that govern the use of artificial intelligence technologies in a way that achieves the desired benefit from them and finding solutions to overcome the various challenges of these technologies.
He also called on those interested in data technologies, artificial intelligence and innovators to attend the summit, whose outputs will be reflected positively, with the help of God Almighty, at the local level of the Kingdom and the international level, based on strengthening the active role of the Kingdom in supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for the year 2030, which contributes to achieving the good of all humanity.
He pointed out that this summit is the fruit of the achievements of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 march under the leadership of Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as it will be the world's compass towards Riyadh to know the latest developments in artificial intelligence from international decision-makers, ministers, heads of international organizations and bodies, CEOs of major technology companies in the world, and elite data and artificial intelligence scientists who will enrich the main summit with what is going on globally about artificial intelligence developments, in addition to the announcements and signing of local and international agreements that the summit will witness. It will be the nucleus of launching international initiatives in the name of the Kingdom in the field of data and artificial intelligence.
He explained that the third edition of the Global AI Summit is in line with the vision and aspirations of the Crown Prince for the Kingdom to be a leading global model in the field of artificial intelligence.
