A delegation from The Gambia National Commission for UNESCO last week paid a courtesy visit to the Vice President of The Gambia, His Excellency Mohammed BS Jallow, at State House.
The delegation, led by Ms. Maimuna Sidibeh, Secretary General of UNESCO NATCOM The Gambia, informed that the purpose of their visit was to provide a comprehensive briefing on their mandate and to reaffirm their commitment to The Gambia Government’s development agenda.
During the meeting, Ms. Sidibeh also announced that the Director General of ICESCO in Rabat will participate in the upcoming OIC Summit.
Describing the meeting as fruitful, the SG expressed gratitude for the encouragement and support received from the Vice President and voiced anticipation for further collaboration.
