The Vice President, His Excellency Mohammed B.S Jallow recently hosted at State House the consultancy team of the Conflict and Development Analysis (CDA). The visit afforded the consultants the opportunity to extend engagement to government institutions after concluding other levels of consultation.
The Vice President’s discussion with the team centered on peace and security dynamics within the nation, as part of the CDA 2024 Report. The exchanges aimed at recalibrating strategies to address emerging conflicts while reinforcing existing peace initiatives. The 2024 CDA update seeks to reassess the drivers of conflict and revitalise engines of peace identified during the 2019 assessment.
The Conflict and Development Analysis is a collaborative effort that underscores a commitment to proactive peace building.
The initiative is led by the Government of The Gambia, through the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Public Service, in collaboration with WANEP-The Gambia, the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office, and UNDP.
