Today, 333 students from 90 countries participated in the practical exam in the 56th edition of the International Chemistry Olympiad, held in Riyadh. The exam was translated into more than 50 languages under the supervision of 260 global chemistry experts to ensure the accuracy of the final versions before they were delivered to the students.
The practical exam, which lasted five hours and was conducted in the laboratories of King Saud University, represents a crucial part of the international competition. This competition aims to enhance international communication in the field of chemistry and motivate students to present creative solutions to chemical problems.
The Olympiad includes two main exams: a practical lab exam and a theoretical written exam, which students will take on Friday, July 26, 2024. The event requires students to give their best in a highly competitive environment.
Organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), the Ministry of Education, and King Saud University, with exclusive sponsor from the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC).
This Olympiad reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting and developing scientific talents and enhances its status as a leading destination in scientific fields on an international level.
