The Ministry of Defence, in its capacity as the institution mandated with the protection of the territorial integrity of The Gambia, recently held a day’s forum with stakeholders to review its Strategy and Action Plan for the year 2022/2027 at the Ministry’s complex in Banjul.
The forum brought together stakeholders including the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Justice, the Office of the National Security Adviser and the Gambia Armed Forces.
The session provided stakeholders the opportunity to critically analyse the identified objectives and to assess the resource implications for the strategy and action plan.
The interface with stakeholders also provided a unique opportunity for exchange of ideas and opinions to maximise the progress and achievements registered and map out a way forward for an effective defence strategy and action plan.
