The Ebou Mala’s Children Charitable Foundation (EMCCF) has handed medical items to the Kanifing Municipal Council (KMC) for onward delivery to Serrekunda General Hospital.
On receiving the items at the KMC complex in Kanifing, Mayor Bensouda thanked Karamo Ceesay, Ward Councilor for Tallinding South, for facilitating the donation. He said KMC has a very close collaboration with the hospital under and pledged his continuous support.
EEMCCF is a non-profit foundation dedicated to help alleviate the suffering of children in Africa. It focuses on supporting vulnerable and needy children in The Gambia by facilitating a pathway to a better education and access to better healthcare.
Samba Bah, Secretary of the foundation acknowledged the Council has a long- standing partner of EMCCF and that they have supported them in different interventions.
On handing over the medical items to KMC, Tallinding South councilor, Karamo Ceesay informed that the KMC adopted a ward at the Kanifing General Hospital and when they went there to do an assessment, they requested for chairs, drawers, hospital beds and surgical items.
Human Resource Manager of Kanifing General Hospital thanked EMCCF and KMC for upgrading the hospital. He described the items as valuable and assured that they will used purposefully.
