Prof. Muhammad Atif Amin Al Hussaini, an expert in internet and Technology has revealed that he has composed the National Anthem of The Gambia in 8D audio technology.
Prof. Hussaini recently made this revelation during an interview with The Gambia Daily.
The composed 8D national anthem jingle was officially presented as a gift to the Minister of Information, Hon. Lamin Queen Jammeh and the Director General of the national broadcaster: Gambia Radio and Television Services (GRTS).
The aim of the 8D audio is to provide a unique experience to the Gambians when listening to the national anthem as it is a National pride.
‘People naturally love their national anthem, they enjoy it like common music, so I decided to compose the national anthem of The Gambia in 8D to make it more interesting and appealing to the Gambian people,’’ he stated.
8D is a trendy editing technique that edits existing audio to produce a multi-dimensional sound that produces internal effects within the head. It only works with headphones as it aims to trick your mind into thinking that the sounds move from your left headphone to the other side and vice versa.
According to Prof. Hussaini, Gambia is the first country to officially have its national anthem jiggle in 8D audio and he is delighted to have done that.
Prof. Hussaini is also a philanthropist and the chairman of the Pakistani Community in West Africa (PCWA). The organization in March donated 2000 metric tons of rice to The Gambia Government in an effort to curb food insecurity in the country amid the Covid-19 crisis. They also facilitated an MOU between the Ministry of Information and the Ministry of Defense production team of Pakistan on Capacity Building Training in Pakistan.
He said he hopes to personally meet President H. E Adama Barrow to present him with this special gift.
