The Government of The Gambia, through the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (MOHERST) has awarded all admitted students at the Ndemban Technical and Vocational Education and Training Centre with full scholarship packages for the duration of their studies.
With over a hundred students admitted, the Ndemban TVET Centre which is currently operational, held its general orientations on the 18th of September, 2023. Lectures will begin on Monday, 25th of September, 2023.
In addition to the lecture rooms and the administrative block, dormitories are also provided. Students will be trained in areas such as auto-mechanics, construction, welding and fabrication, carpentry, plumbing, and satellite installation, among others.
MoHERST says the initiative is in line with its vision of playing a central role in the transformation of The Gambia into a skills-based economy and knowledge society.
