The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE) in partnership with Fusion Mobile through the Science and Technology Education Directorate (STED) on Tuesday, 6th December 2022 concluded the distribution of SD cards to twenty-two schools across regions two and three. The SD cards are loaded with live lessons for upper basic level, aimed to support students in hard-to-reach areas with access to virtual learning materials and afford them the privilege to conduct self-studies and live learning at the comfort of their homes with or without the availability of teachers.
The SD cards are virtual supplementary learning resources meant to enhance better learning accessibility for students at the remotest places around the country, promoting access to education in rural areas that are not endowed with basic social amenities like good electricity and internet facilities.
Both parents and students applauded the gesture and expressed gratitude for the support.
Some parents appealed to the educational authorities to assist with the purchase of smart phones or tablets and laptops as learning tools for their children.
