PMO Bids Farewell to Retired Chief Driver

The Personnel Management Office (PMO) staff on Thursday, October 13th  bade farewell to Mr Seedia Ceesay, chief driver, who has gone on retirement.

Fondly called Pa Ceesay, Mr Ceesay went on retirement last month after serving twenty-one years and seven months in the system as driver.

Speaking at a brief send-off ceremony held at the PMO’s conference room in Banjul, Permanent Secretary (PS) at the Personnel Management Office (PMO), Mr. Lamin Jawara described Pa Ceesay as a hardworking staff who during his good days at PMO did tremendous work.

“It was an honour to work with you because you were committed to your work which led you to your success. You will always be in our memories,” PS Jawara stated.

The senior messenger at PS Jawara’s office, Ansuman Bojang described Pa Ceesay as someone who was a hardworking staff at PMO and worth emulating.

For his part, Pa Seedia Ceesay commended the PMO staff for the support they rendered to him during his stay at PMO.

 

He took the opportunity to briefly narrate his career in the civil service which he said started at the then Ministry of Information and Communication Infrastructure (MoICI) before moving to PMO.

“I am grateful to all PMO personnel for honoring my retirement. It was a pleasure working with all of you during my tenure as chief driver,” he stated.

Speakers such as Principal Planner, Saidou MS Badjie; Cadet Administrative Officer, Morro Ceesay; Principal Personnel Officer, Geoffrey Balla Gaye, Secretary to PS Jawara, Madam Gladys Contehall praised Pa Ceesay for his hard work and dedication to duty.
