The Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Honourable Abdoulie Jobe recently led a delegation of senior officials from the Tourism sector to the World Travel Market (WTM), held in the United Kingdom from the 5th to 7th November 2024. For forty-four years the World Travel Market has been the most influential travel and tourism event globally that brings together top decision-makers and professionals in all aspects of tourism, hospitality and travel from around the globe.

It also serves as platform that facilitates meeting of tourism stakeholder at UN Tourism side events. The platform is a significant international tourism trade fair event, which is used to promote Gambia as a leading travel destination for the global tourism market through the creation of vital contacts with tourism stakeholders and professionals in the United Kingdom and beyond. This event boosts The Gambia’s grip on the UK market, which is one of our leading traditional markets; thus highlighting the importance of our participation in this major international event.
