KSGAAL to organize international conference in South Korea on "Challenges and Prospects of Teaching Arabic Language and Literature."

Riyadh (UNA-OIC) - The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, in collaboration with the Korean Association of Arabic Language & Literature and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), is organizing an international conference themed "Challenges and Prospects of Teaching Arabic Language and Literature" from May 9 to 10, 2024, in Seoul, the Republic of Korea.

The aim of the conference is to contribute to the development of Arabic language education worldwide and work towards enhancing the Arabic language to keep pace with changes in all fields. It also aims to create a conducive environment for the development and consolidation of the Arabic language, and encourage scholars, researchers, and specialists in the Arabic language.

The upcoming international conference will cover six main topics, including modern methodologies in teaching Arabic as a second language, preparation of teaching materials for Arabic as a second language, assessment and evaluation in the context of teaching Arabic as a second language, as well as methods and techniques for teaching Arabic as a second language. It will also discuss the current status of Arabic language education in Korea and future prospects. The final theme will focus on linguistic planning for teaching Arabic and languages teaching in Korea.

The conference targets Arabic language teachers for non-native speakers, Arabic language professors and scholars, researchers in Arabic language sciences, and other related fields. It will feature distinguished experts and researchers from Saudi Arabia, Korea, and other countries.

The collaboration of the KSGAAL with the Korean Association of Arabic Language & Literature and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies underscores their strategic role in all matters related to the Arabic language and Arab culture.

This collaboration aims to strengthen cooperation with entities interested in the Arabic language abroad, enhance its mission in leveraging opportunities to serve the Arabic language, preserve its linguistic integrity and identity, elevate its global status, raise awareness about it, and facilitate its teaching and learning within and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
