PS Jallow Calls for Effective Implementation of Newly Validated Policy Formulation Handbook

Banjul, 18th March 2025: The Permanent Secretary, Civil Service Reform and Planning Unit (CSRPU) under the Ministry of Public Service (MoPS) has called on stakeholders to champion the implementation of the National Policy Formulation Handbook 2025 once it gains cabinet approval.
Mr Sheriff Jallow made this call while presiding over the official closing ceremony of the just concluded three-day validation workshop of the Handbook on behalf of the Minister of Public Service, Hon. Baboucarr Bouy. The workshop took place at Sindola Safari Hotel, Kanilai, West Coast Region.
“When the document is approved, we need to work together as a team so as to realise the successful implementation of the document,” said PS Jallow.
He praised the participants for their thorough contributions during the discussions. “You should be proud of yourselves because the document will solve big problem for Government”.
He went on: “Government is big in the sense that all civil servants cannot converge here at Sindola Hotel to validate this important document; thus the main reason few of you were selected to validate the document on behalf of Government sectors”.
The PS said although the Handbook 2025 was prepared by the Ministry of Public Service through Department of Strategic Policy and Delivery (DSPD), it is meant for all Government institutions.
Mr Jallow finally called on the participants to do further research on the document and relay any further observations to the Ministry.
